More about the charity

Our Mission
To champion childhood to improve the life chances for young children by working for the sustainable improvement of early years development, education and opportunities globally.

“Over one-third of the world’s children under 5 FAIL to develop their full potential”

We don’t think this is acceptable!  Imagine that 10 children out of a UK standard primary school class of 30 wouldn’t have the chance to reach their full potential? That we are missing out on 1/3 of the world’s brain power! Imagine all the missing doctors, teachers and authors?

When we put it like that its unimaginable, right? So we need to act now.

We know that it is during the earliest years of life that a child’s brain and body develops most rapidly and lifelong patterns of behaviour evolve. The early years of childhood form the basis of intelligence, personality, social behaviour and capacity to learn.

Our children are our future. Our future leaders, decision makers, doctors, peace keepers, conservationists, midwives, teachers and carers!

We want everyone to understand the importance of championing the early years of childhood to improve the life chances for all children, especially those most marginalised.

Children’s Place Foundation support early years development work and projects through sponsorship, donations, resourcing, training and partnership working.
